- Dr. Beddow received his doctorate in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. His career has been diverse. He has led a Special Education classroom for students with emotional and behavior problems. He was the Program Director for the Brown Center, an early intervention clinic for children diagnosed with Autism.
- In addition to his work with Beacon, Pete also is the President of Accessible Behavior the mission of which is to facilitate behavior change for children with a broad range of abilities and needs by providing education and training for parents, teachers, and behavior analysts.
- He has worked as an adjunct professor in the ABA program at Lipscomb University. Pete recently completed his second term as a representative for the Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis.
- The “other side” of Pete’s passion for helping children with special needs is his research and consulting work on test development.
- Pete has published numerous articles and chapters on this topic, and co-authored an edited volume entitled Handbook of Accessible Achievement Tests for All Students, published by Springer in 2011. A second edition will be published in 2017.
